Robert Thompson,73, of Detroit, formerly of Atglen passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at his residence in Michigan.

Son of L.G. and Everlena (Outland) Thompson, he graduated from Burgess High School in MS and was a resident of Fenton, Michigan. Robert retired from Rockefeller Group in NYC. His hobbies included watching basketball, riding motorcycles and listening to music.  Robert had an overwhelming love for his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Robert Michael (Tujana) Thompson of Fenton, Michigan; two daughters, Vickie Sawyer, Kim Sawyer-Qareeb both of Coatesville, PA; 8 grandchildren, Daphne Thompson of Seaford, Delaware, Brianna and Jayda Thompson, Rajaee and Qandranes Qareeb, Jalissa Gray all from Coatesville, PA, Jason Gray and Jasmin Qareeb, of New York; 2 great grandchildren, Serenity Thompson and Deshawn Williams; one sister Classie Thompson of Flint, Michgan; one Sister-in-law, Janice Shaw of NYC; two aunts, Alice Thompson of Illinois and Reecy (McCoy) Outland of MS; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including a special friend, Willie Hill of MS and goddaughter, Joy Thompons of Flint, Michigan.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Bernice Thompson; 6 brothers, Ossie and Julius Bracy, Roy Moore, John , L.G. Jr. and Earnest Thompson; 2 brother-in-laws, Ferman and Lewis Wardlow.

A viewing will be held, 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the funeral home followed by burial in Melinger's Menonite Cemetery in Lancaster, Pa. Condolences can be shared at the link below.
