IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert
Miller
September 12, 1988 – May 2, 2013
Robert "Robbie" Miller, 27, of West Chester, PA, departed this life on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Paoli Memorial Hospital. Born on September 12, 1985 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of Robert & Carole (Bailey) Miller.
Robbie received his early education at the Lanchester Christian School and Octorara Area School District. He was 2004 graduate of the Downingtown West School District where he was an avid athlete who participated in Track & Field and Football. His passion, however, was Motor Sports. He was intrigued by anything motorized, and wanted to know how it worked and how he could improve and make it look better.
He loved to customize emergency and private vehicles with lights. His constant drive and great love for motorcycles allowed him to achieve his dream of becoming a professional racer and obtaining his license from the American Sportbike Racing Association under the sponsorship of William "Bill" Arnold.
Robbie loved spending time with his friends, and was always willing to lend an ear and give advice. His mottos were: "Rule#1" and "Just Twist It"
Robbie had a great work ethic and was employed by, Primo DiDazio as an Apprentice for 3 years, Chris Conti as a bricklayer for 6 years, and most currently worked at Silvi Concrete for the past 2 years.
At a very young age, following in the footsteps of his father Robbie began to volunteer at the Fire Company. His goal was to become an officer and he worked his way up beginning as a driver. He was currently a Captain at West Bradford Fire Company 39, where he also served as a Training Officer. In addition, he volunteered at Goodwill-(5-Deuce), West Chester where he has served as a Trustee for the past 3 years, and East Brandywine 39 as an engineer.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his parents, Robert & Carole Miller, 2 brothers, Ryan Miller and Robert Harrison of West Chester; 1 sister, Deanna Harrison; paternal grandmother, Beverly Powell of Parkesburg, paternal great grandfather, Norman Miller; Godparents Anna & Rocco Pirozzi, and Brenda Miller-LeVay, many aunts, uncles, cousins, a devoted companion Jillian Titus, and host of wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Dorothy Bailey Parker, maternal great-grandparents William & Pearl Martin Bailey, and paternal great-grandmother, Louise W. Miller.
Robbie was a gift of life donor. Even in his death he has provided hope to many who are in need of a life saving gift. He has made a positive impact in many lives and in many hearts. Robbie Miller will be greatly missed.

I only met your son once, on a fire call recently. I run with the Thorndale Fire Company and West Bradford was called in to help out. The moment I saw him come off the truck, I knew he was special and knew what he was doing. I'm very sorry for your loss and the fire departments that he ran with have suffered a great loss, also.
Thomas W. Donnachie, Engineer, Thorndale Fire Company
I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in his memory and the wonderful impression he left on everyone's life that he touched. Everyone who knew Robbie loved him. I will miss seeing him but will never forget the laughs we shared.

Was very sad to hear another friend I had grown up with passed away. I remember always having a great time with him and Ryan at Parkesburg fairs, firetruck rides and helping Dougie with various projects/chores! Fondest memory was when we came back from the delI with o'douls and our parents flipped, We must have been around 7 years old. Wish I could have seen you one last time man, its amazing to see all you accomplished in such little time, more people should strive to be like you. Dougie Carol and Ryan you'll be in my thoughts & prayers until you see your son again in heaven.

Carole and Family- I am so sad to hear of Robbie's passing. My prayers are with your family- Every time he came to our office he was such a nice young man. I hope your memories help thru this most difficult time- Carol Rifon, Dr. Paroya's office.
TO THE MILLER FAMILY, The service that was held for Robbie was very nice, The words that were spoken said all that Robbie was. It said one thing to me that he was loved by everyone. And that he has such a loving family words cannot express how this will have an impact on many. I don't think there was a dry eye there and the amount of people that came to say their goodbyes. Robbie, I know that you're surrounded by love in heaven. You were a great young man here on earth and now your memories that you left will be cherished forever. So remember that a day won't go by that you're not thought of. Till we all meet in heaven someday, REST IN PEACE.
Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
~ Vicki Stine, Downingtown, Pennsylvania

Robbie, Two years working with you at Silvi was more than enough time for you to leave a positive impression of just how hard of a worker you were and a people person to boot but this scar you left us with will take a life time to heal. Gang keep your head up. Ryan we got you little brother. Shawshank
~ Jason Smith, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
I did not know Robbie, but I work with his father at PECO. The descriptions and characteristics of this fine young man are exactly how I would describe his father. It is said that children are a reflection of their parents, and this is evident in the caliber of a man that Robbie was. The Miller family is blessed to have had Robbie. But I truly believe Robbie was blessed because he had them. May the love of your son warm your heart for all your days until you meet again.
~ Joe Diaz, Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania
Rest in Peace Robbie. You will be missed by so many. You were a wonderful person.
~ Doll, Thorndale, Pennsylvania

Forever ride high in heaven Robbie, praying for your entire family.
~ Jean and Josh Latshaw, Downingtown, Pennsylvania
Dear Miller Family,
I think I met Robbie at aunt Dot's house in Coatesville. I have foggy memories of all us cousins riding scooters down the hill, playing in the backyard and eating from the sweet honey suckle tree for the first time. We were a lot younger then and I think that's the last time all of us kids were together.
I'm 24 now and since then I didn't get to know Robbie like everyone else, but hearing all the good things about him and looking at pictures, shows what a great man he grew up to be. A hero and kind hearted soul, courageous and passionate firefighter, loyal to his friends and family… I wish I had the chance to get to know him.
Today, knowing that my cousin was greatly admired within the community and family gives me a sense of closure. That Robbie is now living for a higher purpose, a guardian angel to riding alongside all of us. And although I didn't get to know him personally, I rejoice that I have the opportunity to get to know him through all of you, my family.
Rest in peace Robbie, your face is forever engraved in my heart.
Love, Shanice – Daughter of James E Winkey
