IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Scott
Derrickson, Sr.
August 13, 1963 – December 12, 2023
Robert Scott Derrickson Sr. of Cochranville, PA, Londonderry township, departed this life unexpectedly. He was 60 years old.
Born in Chester County, PA, on August 13, 1963, he was the son of Betty Ann (Johnson) Trump, and the late Robert Derrickson.
In addition to his mother Betty, he is survived by; his daughter, Rachael Derrickson and son-in-law, Rob; his son, Robert Scott Derrickson Jr. and daughter-in-law, Kara; his son, Joshua Derrickson; his four grandsons: Robbie, Ryder, Zander, and Gaige; his brother, Steve Derrickson; sister, Michelle Morrison and brother-in-law, Craig; his niece, Samantha, nephew, Matthew and 3 great-nephews.
Robert attended and graduated from Octorara High School, and he went on to enlist in the United States Navy.
As a young man, Robert loved searching for and collecting bottles with his father, which turned into a passion for collecting coins and other trinkets as he grew older. He enjoyed playing various types of games and listening to music, and could often be found watching one of his favorite country western stars, John Wayne. He had a love for going to the beach with his family and taking his boys to the boardwalk arcades. He loved being out on the water on any boat he could and enjoyed all types of fishing, but deep-sea fishing on a head boat was the biggest thrill for Robert. He loved any and all things nature, but taking nature walks, swimming with his family, and tending to his garden and plants were what brought him the most comfort and joy during his time here on earth.
The family is planning a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Please check back for the updated information, or reach out to his daughter at rachaelhynestyre0711@gmail.com, if you would like to attend.
The family is grateful to those who made contributions. Friends and family may share condolences and their favorite memories at the guestbook link on this memorial page. All are welcome to light a candle in Robert's memory.
