Obituary

Richard (Rick) was born in Sharon, PA, in 1954, to the late Ann (Hurayt) Bartosh, and the late John Bartosh. He was the beloved husband of Karen L. (Frantz) Bartosh.

Upon graduating from high school, he worked on a farm for a period of time.  He then traveled to Key West, Florida where he worked on the shrimp boats. As a young man, he developed a strong work ethic.

He then enlisted in the US Navy serving during the Vietnam Conflict. While serving in the Navy, he attended college and served as an Electronics Technician for the U.S. Navy for many years. Later, he became employed at G.O. Carlson working as an aviation technician, and then for Sikorsky Global Helicopters as a supervisor of avionics.

Rick was a world traveler and he developed a love for all types of music and foods. He lived in the Philippines and enjoyed being a dive instructor while staying there. He taught scuba diving and ultimately earned the status of a Dive Master which was a top certification.

In addition to living in the Philippines, he lived in Hawaii, Guam, Thailand, Japan, Australia, Brunei, and South Korea.

Rick loved life and his wife, Karen. She will treasure the memories he has left her.

Family and friends may share condolences at the guestbook link on this memorial page. All are welcome to light a candle in his memory.
