On Sunday, January 19, 2025, Raymond Harris, of Coatesville, PA, passed away at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. He was 66 years old.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Emmett Harris, Sr. and Beatrice Massey Harris. Raymond was affectionately known as "Boom Rock" or "No Neck" by his family and friends. He was a 1977 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School.

Raymond was the husband of Mary Nannette Wilson Harris with whom he shared 30 years of marriage.

Raymond's family was everything to him. He found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones, and his family was the center of his world. Whether selling watermelons and collard greens or enjoying a quiet afternoon fishing and sitting on the porch, Raymond cherished every moment shared with family and friends.

A man of many passions, Raymond loved to dance and was a devoted fan of James Brown's music. He was also an enthusiastic supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, often cheering for his favorite team with unmatched fervor. His wife, Mary, adored the sound of his laughter, which could light up the room.

Raymond was a respected member of the Lily of the Valley Masonic Lodge #59 and a member of the First Baptist Church of Passtown. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community will be fondly remembered.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary Harris; step-children: Nicky, John, Nori, Waleah, Donald, Phillip, Kevin and Junior; Nicolus Wilson, whom he raised; siblings, Emmett Harris, Jr., Patricia Teel (Frank), and Brenda "Ann" Runner; one aunt, Margaret (Harris) Grove; close friend, Timothy Lambert and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Holmes, Connie Massey, Bonnie Dalton, Rena Warner, Elizabeth Huggins, Bruce Lee Harris, and his twin sister, Ramona A. Shoffner.

A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Passtown, 117 Barber Avenue, Coatesville, Pennsylvania 19320.  A Masonic ritualistic service will take place at 10:00 AM. The funeral service will start at 11:00 AM.
