Peggy M. Butler, 86, of Modena, PA , passed away suddenly on Monday, March 11, 2024, at home. Peggy was born in Mortonville, PA, she was the daughter of the late David Frank McClure and Lillian May Mulvaney.  Peggy was the wife of the late Eunasy T. McCain, Sr. with whom she shared 50 years.

With a heart full of warmth, Peggy dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her role as a caregiver at the Brandywine Hall Nursing Home years ago. She touched countless lives with her nurturing spirit and comforting presence.

In her leisure time, Peggy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored watching old movies, exploring garage sales for hidden treasures, and tending to her garden with love and care. Her passion for music, especially country and jazz melodies, brought her solace and happiness.

Peggy was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coatesville.  She was a compassionate caregiver, devoted mother, beloved sister, and cherished grandmother known affectionately as "mom-mom."

She is survived by sons, Todd Butler of Coatesville, Brett Butler (Heather) of Coatesville; daughters, Stacey Quarterman (Michael) of Coatesville, and Beverly Walker also of Coatesville; sister, Doris A. Sellers; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her companion, Eunasy T. McCain, Sr., daughter, Kelly Butler Nieves; son, David Westcot, and sister, Anna Elizabeth "Betty" Jackson.

Peggy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her gentle soul.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 21st, 2024, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates Street, Coatesville, Pennsylvania. A viewing with be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA, 17003.
