Paul Gregory Lambert, 74, formerly of Coatesville, PA, passed away on January 30, 2020, at his residence in Columbia, Maryland. Paul was born on July 19, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His parents were the late Jule and Pearl Lambert. Pearl married Andrew E. Whitelow in February 1952. Andrew, his stepfather, is deceased.
Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gwendlyn Wallace-Lambert; two children, Gregory and Michelle Lambert; a sister, Yvonne Toney and her husband Thomas Toney, brother-in-law Thaddeus Wallace and his wife Cecilia, sister-in-law Janice Green and her husband Melvin, sister-in-law Sharon Wallace-James; grandson Antonio Lambert, nephew LaBarrin Wallace; niece Jacqueline Wallace and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Paul attended schools in the Coatesville Area School District. He graduated from S. Horace Scott Senior High School in 1963. Paul graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. He achieved Varsity Letters in Track and Field. He was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Paul had a decorated career at IBM. After retiring from IBM, he started a successful computer consulting firm, Advance Midrange Applications. He was an avid sports fan who was fond of track and field, basketball, and football. He was a fan of jazz music. His humor and good nature will be greatly missed. A memorial service for Paul will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 1, 2020, at the Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. Family and friends may greet during the visitation between 10:30 – 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Multiple System Atrophy research (MSA) @ www.multiplesystematrophy.org or send to MSA Coalition, 9935-D Rea Road, #212, Charlotte, NC 28277. Donations may also be sent to the Education/Scholarship Fund at the Second Baptist Worship Center, 857 Lumber Street, Coatesville, PA 19320.
