Patricia E. Butler, 86, of Coatesville, PA, passed away at home, on February 18, 2021.

A lifelong resident of Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Virgie Gould. She was the wife of the late Carl Butler with whom she shared five children.

Over the years, she worked at Lasko in West Chester, Jamesway in Thorndale and Amelia's Grocery Outlet.

Her personality was kind, giving, thoughtful and she had a good heart. She always wanted to help others and donated to an array of different charities.

Patricia loved watching Little House on the Prairie and enjoyed game shows like The Price is Right.

She enjoyed reciting scriptures to her grandchildren. One of her favorites being Matthew 9:37 "The harvest is truly plenteous, but the laborers are few." In 2012, she was honored at the Legends Ball by the Virtuous Sisters for Christ Ministries.

Patricia was a member of Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church where she served for over 50 years as a stewardess and a missionary. She was also faithfully involved in Bible Study, Sunday School and Noon Day Prayer Band. She loved gospel music and sang in the Gospel Chorus. Most of all, she loved going to church and she loved the Lord.

Patricia leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to her daughter, Carla Gould of Philadelphia; sons: Tyrone Gould of Coatesville, Carl Butler III of Shiremanstown, Lamont of Escondido, California; sisters-in-law, Rosie Gould of Columbus, Georgia, Evelyn Butler of Virginia, Teresa Butler of Coatesville; 8 grandchildren: Marqui, Mona (who was also her caregiver), Thess, Nasir, Nakira, Charmaine, Carl IV, Mary; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by one daughter, Crystal Butler; siblings, Walter Gould and Sylvia Moody.

A walk-thru public viewing will be held from 9 AM to 10:00 AM, on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Hutchinson Memorial UAME Church, 825 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville, PA.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral service will be held privately with limited seating for the immediate family only. Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA.

Flowers may be sent to the church on the day of the service. The theme colors are purple and white.
