R. Jackson, 82, of
Pottstown
passed away Thursday, July 7,
2016
at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville. Rev. Jackson, affectionately known as O.R.,
was born
in Lafayette, Alabama to the late Andrew and Carrie Jackson. He spent over 50 years in the Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Pastoral Service.
He is survived by a son, Jeffery (Valerie) Jackson of Pottstown, PA; four grandchildren, two
great grandchildren
and a host of other relatives and friends
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, July 19,
2016
at Mt. Zion C.M.E Church, 314 Lee Road 295, Smiths, Alabama with Rev. Eunice Lyles, pastor and Bishop Teresa Snorton, eulogist.
Visitation will be Monday, July 18,
2016
from 1 - 8 p.m.
Interment will follow
in
Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 US-431, Phenix City, Alabama.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Bethel AME Church, 401 Beech St. Pottstown, PA; a repass to follow immediately after the service.
