Oscar F. Hines, 72, of Coatesville, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, at home. He was one of ten children born to the late Simon Julius Hines and Mary Francis Adderton.  He was the husband of the late Karen Bessick Hines with whom he shared forty nine years of marriage. Oscar received his early education from the Coatesville Area public schools and graduated from S. Horace Scott High School in 1962. He was employed at Conrail Railroad for over forty years. He was a member of the Elks home of Coatesville. Oscar enjoyed fishing, gardening and teaching his sons and their children how to drive.

He is survived by three sons, The Honorable Judge Gregory V. Hines, Sr. (Delores), Stephon Hines, Sr. (Lisa), Dehaven "Weasel" Hines;  two sisters, Emma Mae Hines and Maxine Davis; two brothers, Uley Hines and James Hines (Maxine); 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held 11 am, March 12, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Passtown, 117 Barber Avenue in Coatesville. Interment will be in New Evergreen Cemetery in Coatesville.
