Ophelia Bass, 84, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at home.

Born in Gary, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Delmore and Mable McMillan.

She is survived by three sons: Harold Bass of Kennett Square, PA, Grayling Bass (Donna) of Newark DE, Michael Bass (Lisa) of Bear DE; three daughters: Theresa Bass of Kennett Square, PA, Drusilla Butler (Barry) of Bear DE, Lesia Bass of New Castle DE; one brother, George McMillan of Oxford; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Avery Bass; three brothers, John "JD" McMillan, Keith McMillan and Bobby McMillan.

Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Bethel AME Church, 301 East Linden Street, Kennett Square, PA with a viewing beginning at 8:30 AM.

Interment will be held in Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA.

Flowers can be sent to the church on the day of the service. The theme color is red.
