Ninivar Ann Brown, age 101, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026. She was born on February 5, 1924, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the late Robert and Emily Young.

Affectionately known as Ms. Nin, she attended J. P. McCaskey High School and later married Raymond Brown. She was employed by the Schwann Watch Dial Factory before relocating to the Bronx, New York, in 1971. There, she worked as a Dietitian with University Heights Presbyterian Church until her retirement. In 1991, she moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to family.

Ms. Nin was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brown; her brother Converse Young; her daughters, Cecelia Dunmeyer and Ramilee Washington; and her son, George "Trent" Porter.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Annette Newsome-Hepburn and Pamela L. Brown; her sons, Albert "Sonny" Brown and Stanley Brown (Theresa); along with a host of grandchildren, family and friends.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Ray's Temple COGIC, 49 S. Ann Street, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Interment will be held in Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery, 11 Greenfield Rd, Lancaster, PA.
