Melvin James Anderson IV, 52, of Coatesville, PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 7, 2021. Born in West Chester, he was the son of Joanne Paulette (Lewis) Anderson and the late Melvin James Anderson, III.

He was a graduate of West Chester East High School and received a certification in painting and decorating from Avon Grove Technical Education Program.

Melvin enjoyed listening to music by Jodeci. He also liked to watch football and enjoyed getting dressed up in fashionable clothes. Most of all he had a passion for cooking and spending time with his family.

Melvin is survived by a daughter, Melenia Newton (Shawn) of Marrietta, GA; son, Kahlie Winkey (Taileesha Wright) of Coatesville, daughters, Dinitra Anderson of Milbourne, FL, Veronica Anderson of Doylestown, PA; his mother, Joanne Anderson of Coatesville; sisters, Marcia Anderson of Delaware, Candance Anderson (John) of Coatesville, Addie Noel; brothers, Melvin Twyman of Lancaster, Melvin Gardner of Coatesville; brother-in-law, Nathan Rolon; nieces, Airazhae Anderson of Delaware, Natasha Anderson, Victoria Anderson,Taylor Anderson, Erin Anderson all of Coatesville; paternal, grandmother, Constance Anderson of West Grove; nephews: Lonnie Anderson of Lancaster, Leslie Neely-Anderson "Pook" (Deanda) of Delaware, Nathan B. Rolon-Hill (Sharee), Brandon L. Rolon-Hill both of Coatesville; great nephews: Jayvon Simango, Ellias Simango, Noah Anderson, Xavion Anderson and Donte Marlow, Enrico Gregory III, Brandon L. Rolon-Hill, Jr.; great nieces, Micaiah Robinson, Malia Robinson, Aleyah Grove;  5 grandchildren: Juelz, Seriah, Shawn, Jr., Savannah, Sasha and special friend, Shelly Monroe of Philadelphia; many aunts and uncles on the Lockman and Anderson sides and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his father, Melvin was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica; and a sister, Charmaine Anderson Rolon-Hill.
