Melba Faure Muñoz, a beloved mother, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in West Chester, PA. She was 86 years old.

Born on May 1, 1939, Melba was the daughter of the late Eterna Muñoz.

In her 30s, Melba graced the stage at the renowned Tropicana nightclub in Havana, Cuba. While there, she had the honor of singing with the legendary Celia Cruz. Beyond her musical talents, Melba was a skilled hairdresser, known for her creativity and attention to detail.

Melba's kitchen was a gathering place for friends and family, where she shared her love for cooking. She loved fish, and one of her favorite dishes, congris, was a staple at her table and a testament to her Cuban heritage. Melba's love extended beyond her immediate family; she was a "mom" to everyone, offering advice, comfort, and a welcoming heart.

Melba Muñoz leaves to cherish her memory her children: Jose Muñoz (Nicole) of Coatesville, PA, Armando Duran, Nelly Muñoz, and Ivon Aguilera Muñoz, all from Cuba.

Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to experience her warmth and generosity.

The family is having a memorial service at 6:30 pm on Friday June 6, 2025 at Judah Ministries Church of God in Christ, 840 Chestnut Street, Coatesville, PA.
