Mary Edna Hamilton, 78 of Coatesville passed away February 27, 2012 at the Brandywine Hospital, Caln. She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Logan and Eva Frances Smith and the wife of the late Douglas  Hamilton.

She was a faithful member of the Bethel AME Church in South Coatesville where she served as treasurer, stewardess and usher.

Mary enjoyed bowling and flower gardening.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Thompson, Linda Kay Hamilton both of Coatesville; three sons, Carl (Jacqueline) Hamilton, Melvin (Colleen) Hamilton both of Coatesville and Donald (Jennie) Hamilton, Sr. of Downingtown; four sisters, Evelyn Shelton of Coatesville, Mae Helen Massey, Nora Littlejohn, and Joanne (Rudolph) Logan all of Spindale, NC; a brother Robert Hamilton of Spindale, NC; a special friend, Marvin Parker of Coatesville; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Bethel AME Church 671 S. 1st Ave, Coatesville, with a viewing beginning at 9 am.

Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
