Mary "Maxine Brown" Davis , 69 , of Coatesville, passed away Tuesday , April 9 , 2013 at Einstein Medical Center in East Norriton . She was the daughter of the late A shby and Grace Gibbs Brown and after the death of her mother she was raised by her grandmother Mary F. Brown.

Maxine was wife of the late Linwood "Bay" Davis with whom she shared 9 years of marriage.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Coatesville and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 2404 in Coatesville.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking, taking care of others and visiting family .

She is survived by her daughter , Grace E . (Ron) Brown-Harvey of Coatesville; grandchildren, Tiffany S. Brown of Lancaster, Ashley A. Johnson of Coatesville; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kaija, Sincere and Khaliyah; sisters, Gardenia Shelton and Barbara Sarnor of Coatesville, Crystal (Albert) Dailey of San Antonio, TX; brothers, Gregory Brown, Boise, ID, Rodney and Larry Hansley of Wilmington, NC, Maurice, and Shawn Brown of Aberdeen, MD, Clifford Thomas of Kentucky, Lamont Thomas of Lancaster as well as godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, April 20, at the Second Baptist Worship Center, 856 Merchant St, Coatesville, with a viewing beginning at 8 am.

Burial will be in the New Evergreen Cemetery, Coatesville.
