IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marcus D.
Taltoan
November 22, 1990 – August 28, 2025
Marcus Dupree Taltoan, 34, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Born on November 22, 1990, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of Vonda M. Taltoan and William B. Miller.
Marcus grew up in Coatesville and attended the Coatesville Area School District. From an early age, his humor, quick wit, and contagious smile left lasting impressions on everyone he met. Marcus had an incredible way of brightening a room—if you knew him, you almost certainly left with a laugh, a story, or a memory worth holding on to.
Beyond his humor, Marcus was deeply intelligent and curious. He loved reading, researching, and picking up random facts—he always seemed to know a little something about everything. A hard worker, he was proud to have earned his CDL and continued learning to operate different types of machinery. His love for music led him to record rap tracks with his cousin Brian, and his passion for cars sparked dreams of building a collection one day.
Marcus also had a unique sense of style and took pride in his appearance. He loved watches and jewelry, always carried himself with confidence, and rarely went anywhere without smelling good. Fitness was also important to him, and he found joy in working out and weightlifting.
Marcus was preceded in death by his sister, Charnise Martin Taltoan; his grandmother, Jane Hawkes; and his grandfather, Wayne Taltoan.
He leaves behind his greatest treasures—his children: Nyla Taltoan and Dupree Taltoan of Parkesburg; Mazyii Taltoan and Marcus Taltoan, Jr. of Quarryville; and Ariel Mulan Wilkerson of Coatesville. In addtion to his parents he is also survived by his siblings, Javon Taltoan of Philadelphia, Aaliyah Taltoan of Coatesville, and Damarron Oshae Miller of Texas; his cousins who was more like a brothers, Brian Adger of Gap; Mark Smith, Jr. of Gap; Shane Little of Washington State, Dwayne and Dameir Taltoan of Coatesville; his uncle, Dwayne Taltoan (Johnette) of Coatesville; his aunts, Dawn Hogan of Coatesville and Tonya Brister of Texas; uncle, Dion Stoke of Pottstown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Though Marcus's time with us ended far too soon, his laughter, intelligence, and love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will continue to shine brightly through his children and the countless lives he touched.
