Louis Tyson Trowery, Sr., of Coatesville, PA, passed away early Thursday morning, May 25, 2023, at his residence. He was 67 years old.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of Elizabeth Devault Trowery and Frederick Trowery, Sr.  Louis was raised by his grandparents, John and Rosa Devault. He was affectionately known as Louie by his family and friends.

Louie received his early education in the Coatesville Area School District and was a 1974 graduate of Coatesville Area High School. He currently worked at the Association for the Blind in Coatesville. He was also a volunteer at the Coatesville Senior Center.

Louie was an avid Philadelphia sports fan including the Eagles, Sixers and the Phillies. He enjoyed watching country westerns and loved singing and listening to R&B music.

Louis is survived by his wife, Tamika Boggs; sons, Tyson Parker, Louis Tyson Trowery, Jr., Jerel L. Trowery, Rashon L. Trowery, and Sheream Butler; parents, Fred Trowery, Sr. and Elizabeth Trowery; step-mother Adrienne Trowery; sisters, Vionka Daley, and Barbara Robinson; brother, John Trowery; uncle, John Henry Devault, Jr.; mother of his children; Tonya Butler; 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Frederick Trowery Jr., Sheila Wright, John Henry Devault, Kevin Robinson, and Arnell Robinson; paternal grandparents, John Henry, and Rosa B. Devault; maternal grandparents, John Trowery and Goldie Trowery Alston.

He was loved and respected by his family, friends, and coworkers. He will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 3, 2023, with a viewing beginning at 9:00 AM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. Military honors will be observed at the start of the service.

Interment will be held privately.
