Obituary

Lloyd Perry, 91, of Exton, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 21, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Ephraim and Ruth Brown Perry.  Lloyd was the beloved husband of Phyllis B. Perry for 64 years, who preceded him in death. Through this beautiful union they had three sons, Rodney Perry (who preceded him in death), Scott A Perry and Steven A. Perry. He served in the United States Army during World War II, until he was honorably discharged. Lloyd received an associate degree in Applied Sciences from the Community College of Philadelphia.

He was employed at Philadelphia Electric Company for 40 years until he retired.

Lloyd accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He was a former member of First Baptist of Salisbury, located in Salisbury Maryland, and Christian Faith Fellowship located in Downingtown, PA. During that time, he faithfully served on the food pantry, usher board, and the pastor's aide ministry. He attended Saints Memorial Baptist Church in Bryn Mawr, PA until his death.

One of his greatest joys was listening to jazz, especially the soothing guitar sounds of Wes Montgomery and Pat Metheny. One of his favorite songs of Pat Metheny was, "Tell Her You Saw Me." He will always be remembered in our hearts as a warm, kind-hearted, devoted husband and family man, who provided for his family and loved his wife extraordinarily.

He is survived by two sons, Scott A. Perry (Rosalind) of Jessup, Georgia, and Steven A. Perry (Lantrese) of Exton, PA; four grandchildren: Asia Stewart (Caleb), Scott Perry, Jr., Steven A Perry, Jr. (Lauren), and Lauren N. Perry; seven great grandchildren: Kallen, Khiiyla, Kamila, Marion, Harper, Rowan, Willow, and many other nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, his wife, and his son he is preceded in death by two brothers, Kenny Perry, Allen Perry and two sisters, Audrey Perry Brown, and Janet Perry.

A walk-thru public viewing will be held from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Saints Memorial Baptist Church, 47 S Warner Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.
