Obituary

Lisa Denise Keitt, 74, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Vitas Hospice Care in Philadelphia, PA.

Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herman G. Keitt Sr. and Lillian R. Young Keitt.

Lisa grew up with a deep passion for science and education, which she pursued diligently. She was a 1969 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School. In 1974, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Lincoln University, where she was a proud member of the Beta Kappa Chi honor society. Her academic journey continued at Temple University Medical School, leading to a fulfilling career in healthcare, specializing in home nursing care.

Lisa was not only a brilliant mind but also a vibrant soul who cherished every moment with her family and friends. Known for her outgoing nature, she found joy in spending time with loved ones. Her intelligence shone brightly in her academic pursuits, yet she remained humble and always eager to assist those around her.

A woman of diverse interests, Lisa had a love for movies and comedy shows, often sharing laughter with those close to her. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel to beautiful destinations like the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Houston, Texas. During her travels, she actively participated in outreach programs, extending her care and kindness to those in need.

Lisa's culinary skills were as notable as her scientific acumen, with her banana nut bread being a cherished family favorite. She had a love for music, especially R&B and gospel. Her spiritual foundation was rooted and nurtured at a young age at the First Baptist of Passtown. She currently was a member of Judah Ministries Church of God in Christ.

Lisa is deeply missed by her daughter, Jasmine Cook and son-in-law, Antonio Cook, Jr.; grandson, Antonio Cook, III; sister, Lynette Washington; sister-in-law, Deborah Keitt of Richmond, VA; close friends, Marlene Thompson; cousin, Leona "Kitty" Reid; God-child, Tyrek Ramos; 11 nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Herman "Skeeter" Keitt, Jr.

Lisa's life was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Her memory with be forever in our hearts.

Homegoing Services will be held at 4pm on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Judah Ministries COGIC, 840 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville. Her viewing begins at 2pm until  3:45 pm.
