Linda M. Hoxter, a woman of profound spirituality and boundless love for animals, lived a life that resonated with compassion and purpose. Born on September 20, 1958, in Philadelphia, Linda's journey was marked by her dedication to nurturing life in all its forms.

Early Life and Education

From a young age, Linda exhibited a natural affinity for animals, often finding solace in their company. She was a graduate of W.B. Saul High School in Philadelphia and furthered her education in Psychology at the Community College of Philadelphia, Animal Science at Tuskegee University, and Media and Communications at Arcadia University. Her thirst for knowledge was insatiable, culminating in a degree in Graphic Arts and Printing Technology from ITT Tech, where she achieved the highest grades in the school's history.

Professional Career

Linda's professional life was as diverse as it was impactful. She began her career as a veterinarian, dog groomer, and Maltese breeder, always ensuring the well-being of the animals she loved. Her skills extended to roles as a Food Service Manager for Wawa and nursing positions at Bayada Home Care and Elwyn Behavioral Health Services. An entrepreneur at heart, Linda founded the Soul of the Earth Haircare product line, channeling her creative spirit and love for natural beauty into a successful business.

Personal Life

As a devoted mother to Hutton Harmon, Linda embraced the dual roles of mother and father with grace and unwavering dedication. She was a great mother, with great responsibility. She was extremely proud of being a mother.  Her bond with her son evolved into a mentorship, guiding him with spiritual wisdom and love. Jeff Jackson played a vital role as a life partner, spending over 25 years by her side. Linda enjoyed traveling with Jeff and raising a family of dogs together in New Jersey. Linda's life was enriched by her partnerships with Jeff Jackson, Louis McDuffie, and Lamont Alexander, who were not just friends but integral parts of her journey.

Linda was the glue that held her team of family and friends together, offering unwavering support during challenging times. Her relationships were marked by deep loyalty and faith in the potential of those she loved. Linda Hoxter's spirit touched many hearts along the way, as she formed elite and loyal friendships along her journey.

These friends were extensions of who she identified as. If you were a friend of hers, you knew that she truly had faith in you, and knew you could fulfill any of your dreams. When her mother and step-father Jean and Jim Lewis were in need of living assistance, she moved in and used her medical background and skills to support them. In the efforts of helping her parents, she formed a unique bond with her daughter in law, Lindsay Harmon. They worked side by side together, by providing living assistance to Jean and Jim. Linda united her team of Jeff Jackson, Louis McDuffie, Hutton, and Lindsay together through difficult times.

Passion for Animals and Nature

An avid animal lover, Linda spent her life rescuing and raising animals in need, including her beloved Maltese dogs and Persian cats. Her home was a sanctuary for her favorite pets including: Alfie, Andy, Shakespeare, Gizmo, Bootsie, Sade, Summer, Mia, Abby, Liela, Nina, Lady, Puppy, Tiny, Goober, Dre, Grey, Dallas, Rain and many others.
