Leroy M. Williams

March 8, 1950 — May 10, 2026

Coatesville

Leroy Michael Williams,76, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Paoli Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. Born and raised in Coatesville, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Lorenzo Williams, Sr. and Candice Juanita Alston Williams.

For 55 wonderful years, Leroy shared a devoted marriage with his wife, Johanna Rudolph Williams, a partnership filled with love and mutual respect. He was a 1969 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School. Leroy dedicated over three decades to his career at Embreeville State Hospital. Even after retirement, he began a new career as a security guard at Norristown State Hospital and later at Brian’s House.

Known for his warm and inviting presence, Leroy had a bright, friendly personality that lit up every room he entered. In the 1970s, he was part of the Marching unit at Mt Vernon Lodge. He enjoyed boxing and loved to dress up; he would always be sharp as a tack. One of his favorite sayings was, “If your Shoes are Beat, you ain’t Neat.”

He left a lasting impression with his signature walk and his love for reading, soccer, classic Western TV shows, and soul food. Leroy was an outspoken enthusiast of political discussions and was also a spirited, die-hard, loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys, cheering through every win and loss. Above all, he was a devoted husband and father who deeply loved his family.

Leroy will be deeply missed by his wife Johanna; daughters, Della Dion Rudolph, Sharene Juanita Rudolph, and Monquie Michelle Pugh (Bruce) all of Coatesville; siblings, Lorenzo G. Williams of New York, George P. Williams (Ethel Mae) of Colorado, and Mickey L. Williams (Iris Jones) of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren: Elliott McDonald, Ky-Yonn Williams, Dacquisha Parker, Elizae McDonald (Tahje); great-grandchildren: Summer Parker, Steven Carter, and Gianna Williams; father-in-law, Joe Rudolph; special nephews, Ronald Hines and Nathaniel Fields; special nieces, Daria Rudolph and Tanika Hines; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Linwood Williams and Eric Williams, and sisters Jean Hines, Patricia Fields, and Jaunita M. Robinson.

Leroy’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
