IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leroy B.
Staton, Jr.
December 28, 1948 – November 13, 2024
Leroy B. Staton, Jr., of Philadelphia, PA, formerly of Coatesville, PA, passed away after a lengthy illness, at Deer Meadows Nursing Home in Philadelphia, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was 75 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Leroy B. Staton, Sr., and Josephine (Byrd) Staton. He was the husband of Wilma (Morton) Staton, the father of Leroy B. Staton III., and brother of Mary Staton.
He loved the town and people of Coatesville dearly, and he enjoyed getting together with friends at the Elite Riders Motorcycle Club in Coatesville. He also found enjoyment in repairing and painting cars that needed such tender loving care. Lee enjoyed life and was a friend to many.
His love of cars started in high school and continued on while working under an apprenticeship with his family. He especially loved fishing, and traveling.
Leroy is remembered as a good, friendly and kind hearted man and for his sense of humor and generosity. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior while a resident at Deer Meadows.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Wilma; son Leroy, sister Mary, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service in Leroy's memory will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant St., Coatesville, PA 19320.
Condolences may be shared through the guestbook tab on this memorial page, where you can also light a candle in Leroy's memory.
