Leroy A. Lewis, 63, of Coatesville, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 in Denver Colorado.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Leroy Allen and Jessie Mae Lewis Conway. He was affectionately known as Butchie.

He received his early education from the Coatesville Area public schools and graduated from Coatesville High School in 1971.

Butchie moved to Denver Colorado where he worked as a sales associate and customer service specialist for Karman Company which was owned by the country singer Kenny Rogers.

After several years, Butchie returned to Coatesville and worked as a real estate tax agent for Transamerica in Malvern. He later transferred to Dallas Texas. At the time of his death, Buthie lived in Denver Colorado.

He enjoyed singing, dancing, and solving crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed reading and watching documentaries of music recording artists. Most of all Butchie loved sharing good times with friends and family.

He leaves to a loving family, daughter, Nicole Y. Jones of Coatesville; sister, Cheryl Lewis of Coatesville; brothers, Robert T. Lewis of Coatesville and Gregory Stevens of Connecticut; grandson, Timothy Green, Jr. of Downingtown; God-daughter, Aisha Rogers; a devoted friend, Cheryl Taggart; two aunts, Delain Allen and Gladys Dalton both of Coatesville; two uncles, John Lewis and Joe Lewis both of Coatesville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

A Life Celebration service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Judah Ministries Church of God in Christ, 840 E. Chestnut Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. Flowers can be sent to the church on the service day. The theme color is red and gold.
