Kevin T. Adderton, Sr., "Monk", 57, of Reading, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Reading Hospital.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Wesley and Lillian Hardy Adderton.

He was a 1962 graduate of Coatesville Area High School.

For 24 years, Kevin worked at the VA Medical Center in the dietary department.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and traveling

Kevin is survived by one son, Kevin Adderton Lee, Jr. and his wife Angela of Middletown, Delaware; one brother, Wesley Adderton Jr. of West Chester; one sister, Edna Adderton of Coatesville; 2 grandsons Adan and Avery Lee; a special friend and caregiver Darla Harting of Robesonia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call between 3 pm and 5 pm on Thursday, March 10, for a viewing and visitation with the family at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville.

Interment will be private.
