Kevin Maurice Hamilton, "Cool Cal", 45, of Coatesville passed away, August 25, 2014 at the Brandywine Hall in West Chester. He was the son of James F. Hamilton, Sr. and the late Ann Roberta Hamilton.

Kevin was a 1988 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School. He was a gifted runner, who led the high school track team to the state championship in the 300 meters races. He received many trophies and awards for track & field and even participated in the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

After high school he attended Cheyney University. He was employed as a detailing associate at the Brian Hoskins Ford in Coatesville. Kevin was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, enjoyed listening to rap music and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two sons, Aaron Bynum-Hamilton of Lancaster, Elder Kiheem Bynum of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter Nikia (Larry) Bailey of Atlanta, Ga.; four brothers, James (Bertha) Hamilton, Jr., Ricardo Cornish and Stanley Clinton Bryant all of Downingtown, Charles Hamilton of Coatesville; one sister, Carmella Hamilton of Downingtown; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the South Coatesville Life Center, 114 Gibbons Avenue, Coatesville with a viewing beginning at 9 am. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester.
