She was the daughter of , Helen D. Knight and the Late Walter A. Maxwell.  Kathy was raised by her grandmother, the Late Mother Mary Dorsey.

Kathy was educated in the Oxford Area School District.  She worked as a caregiver for Impact System and Chatham Acres for over 20 years.

She was a member of the Independence Church of Jesus Christ in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania.  She served as a missionary for many years.

Kathy enjoyed sewing, making clothes and shopping.  She knew how to shop.   She enjoyed every shopping mall and magazine she could order and buy from. Most of all she loved to read the Bible.

On August 15, 2014 was called home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary L. Dorsey; one brother, Steven Knight and one grandson, Jalen Ralph.

Kathy is survived by one daughter, Delores Ralph of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania; two sons, Samuel Ralph Jr. and his wife Emily of New Castle, Delaware and Walter A. Ralph.

She also leaves her mother, Helen Knight of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three brothers, Michael Knight of Wilmington, Delaware, Danny Knight of Virginia Beach, Virginia and David Knight of Suffolk, Virginia; two sisters, Denise Brown and Patty Shaahiyda Knight both of Virginia Beach, VA; six beautiful grandchildren: Cassandra, Brittany, and Shawn Peek, Eijah Ralph, Asante Ralph and Savion Ralph, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends that loved her.
