IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julia L.
(Boggs) Proctor
January 16, 1932 – August 8, 2025
Julia L. Boggs Proctor, 93, of Downingtown, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 8, 2025.
Born in Downingtown January 16 1932. She was the daughter of the late Walter Sr. and Viola Johnson Boggs.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 39 years, George Proctor and her cherished son, Aubrey Proctor, who both preceded her in death—a reunion that brings comfort to those who mourn her passing. Known for her strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion, she poured her heart into her family, her home, and the simple joys she loved
Julia enjoyed shopping and being with her family. She loved the Lord. She attended Mount Raymond UAME Church in Downingtown for many years. Some of the ministries dear to her heart were housekeeping, Bible study, and while never a real vocalist you could find her at many choir rehearsals. In reflecting about her, we discovered there was not just one song about the Lord; she loved all of them.
She was both the rock and the shelter -strong enough to weather any storm and loving enough to make sure her family was always safe within her embrace.
Julia leaves precious memories to her sons, Victor Kent Proctor of Lancaster, Drew Proctor of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Dwayne Curtis Proctor (Donna) of Phoenixville, PA; sisters, Harriet Tinson of California, and Florence Mills of Downingtown; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Her bond with her siblings was unbreakable, rooted in shared memories, mutual respect, and deep affection. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Helen Allen, Anna Collier, Alice Shuler, Walter Boggs Jr, George James Boggs, and Wayne Boggs.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories for her family and friends.
