Judith Rose Williams, "Judy", 64, of Coatesville, passed away, Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Chester County Hospital.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Herbert L. Brown, Sr. and Nettie Flowers Brown.

She was the wife of Gene "Beanie" Williams with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

Raised in Downingtown she attended the Downingtown public schools and graduated from Downingtown High School in 1964.
She had been employed in the Personnel department at the Coatesville VA Hospital for 21 years until she retired in 1988.

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Coatesville and was one of the founding members of the Women's League for Minority Education.

She enjoyed traveling, singing, crocheting and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Gene "Beanie" Williams of Downingtown, two daughters, Candace Williams and Tamara Williams of Coatesville; four sisters, Darlene Brown, Cheryl Brown of Coatesville, Donna Brown of Houston, Texas and Tina Brown of Downingtown; three brothers, Herbert Brown, Jr. of Denver, Colo., Walter (Pandora) Brown of Camden, NJ and Lonnie (Maytha) Brown of Coatesville; Godchildren Darius Parker and Averi Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Ann Brit.

Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Second Baptist Church, 856 Merchant Street, Coatesville with a viewing beginning at 9 am

Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park in West Chester.
