Judith "Judy" Locklin, 65, of Kennett Square, passed away Tuesday, September 7 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Louis E Smith and Earlena Murrey Smith.

Born in Kennett she attended the area public schools and then raised her family while working at a sewing factory in Norristown.

Judy was a member of St. Paul AME Church in Coatesville.

She enjoyed needlework and listening to music.

She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne (Rev. Daryl) Perry of Coatesville, Crystal Locklin of Philadelphia; son Michael Locklin of Philadelphia;

three brothers, Kenneth (Regina) Murrey of West Chester, Albert (Maureen) Murrey of New Castle, Delaware and Stanley (Mary Lou) Murrey of Downingtown;  9 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 6 pm, Monday, September 13, at St. Paul AME Church, 703 Merchant Street, Coatesville with a 1-hour viewing beginning at 5 pm until the service time.
