John Charles Whitely "Jack", 86, of Cochranville, formerly of Downingtown, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Coatesville Veteran's Hospital, Caln.

Born in Downingtown, he was the son of the late Frank R. Whitely, Sr., and Grace Reynolds Whitely.

He received his early education from the Downingtown School District.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War before being honorably discharged.  Jack worked for the Sonoco Paper Mill Company in Downingtown.

His favorite hobby was bowling.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard W. Whitely and Frank R. Whitely, Jr.

He is survived by one son, John Walton; two daughters, Linda (Larry) McHale of Atglen, and Dawn Smith of California; two brothers, Raymond D. Whitely of Downingtown and Robert (Carol) Whitely of Port Royal, PA; two  sisters; Esther Stoner of Jennersville and Lillian (Bob) Butler of Mifflintown, PA. and other relatives and friends.

Interment will be held privately.
