John W. Thomas, Jr.,"Buff", 37, of Coatesville, passed away suddenly January 18, 2014 at home. He was the son of Lula Mae Thomas and the late John W. Thomas, Sr.

He attended the Coatesville Area public schools.

He enjoyed detailing cars, football and boxing.

In addition to his mother he is survived by one daughter Layla Purnell Thomas of Coatesville; four brothers, Duane Smith, Dalphyne L. Clark, Harry L. Smith and Derek C. Thomas all of Coatesville; two sisters, Susan Thomas San Francisco and Tiffany Thomas (Robert) Pearlman, maternal grandfather Harry Lee Smith; Layla's mother, Laura Wood and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
