John C. "Tinker" Griffy, Jr., 57, of Coatesville passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA, after a  lengthy illness. Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of John C. Griffy, Sr. and Lydia (Bacon) Shelton.

He enjoyed watching football, playing computer games, riding his bike and listening to the oldies.

He is survived by his father John C. Griffy, Sr. of Coatesville PA; his mother, Lydia (Bacon) Shelton of Coatesville PA; brothers Aaron Griffy (Karen Johnson) of Modena, PA, Byron (Cynthia) Griffy of Coatesville, PA; sisters, Mia Griffy of Lancaster, PA, L'Lisa (Shelly) Walker of Virginia. He also leaves those who were raised with him, Victor Mayo and Marlo Barnes Collins; half-brother, Anthony Shelton; half-sisters, Diane Shelton and Tammy Shelton (deceased); aunts: Charmaine Bacon, Dorothy Ann Bacon, Patricia "Patty" Middleton and Karen Griffy; uncle, Raymond Griffy and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Services will be held 11 AM Friday, September 29, 2017 at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. Friends may greet the family at 10 AM.
