Joanne P. Lee, 84, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Pocopson Home Facility in West Chester, PA.

Born in Roxboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie F. and Dora D. Paylor. She was the wife of William H. Lee, Sr. with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.

Joanne received her early education from the Person County public school system in Roxboro, NC.

Joanne worked at the Coatesville VA Hospital for 30 years as a nurse's assistant.

She loved flowers, enjoyed gardening, traveling, and bingo. She enjoyed going on cruises and loved to attend the annual flower show in Philadelphia. She was also an avid sports fan. Baseball, golf, and the Miami Dolphins football games were among her favorites.

Joanne was a member of the Second Baptist Worship Center in Coatesville, PA. She served as an usher and past president of the Dorcas Missionary Society for many years.

She leaves cherished memories to her husband, William H. Lee, Sr.; daughter, Sharon A. Paylor of Roxboro, NC; stepson, William H. Lee, Jr. (Sharon) of Glenmoore, PA; sisters, Pearl Carver, Pansy Fowler (James), Dorothy Tomasovich (Joe), May Paylor, Stella Nelson (Rodger); brothers, Jewel Paylor, Walter Paylor; three grandchildren: Khylia Moore (Tim) of Durham, NC, William Lee III, Lauryn Lee; great-grandchildren, Khole Moore, Keira Moore, Kane Lee, Kayleen Lee; special nephew Gary Paylor (Brigitte) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd Paylor, Gordon Paylor, Johnnie Paylor; and sister, Glossie Paylor.

Though she is gone she leaves a treasure of memories in the lives of those she touched. We will cherish her memory in our hearts.

Homegoing Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the Second Baptist Worship Center, 856 Lumber Street, Coatesville, PA 19320 with a viewing beginning at 9:00 AM.
