Obituary

Jason Teron Mack, 44, of West Grove, PA, departed this life suddenly on Monday, February 9, 2026, at home.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of Linda Comfort and the late David Smith.

Jason graduated with the Class of 2000 from Kennett High School. He further honed his culinary skills at the Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts, where his talent and dedication to his craft became evident.

Jason found immense joy in his role as a chef at Kendal at Longwood Nursing Home, where he delighted in preparing meals for the residents, bringing comfort and happiness through his cooking.

His love for cooking was matched by his enthusiasm for traveling, both within and outside the country, where he gathered inspiration and new flavors to incorporate into his culinary creations. An avid gamer, Jason spent his leisure time immersed in PlayStation adventures, enjoying the thrill of gaming as a means of relaxation.

His life was rich with interests, including his enjoyment of online shopping, where he often found new tools and gadgets to enhance his kitchen.

His love for his mother was profound and unwavering. He cherished the bond they shared and held her close to his heart.

Jason's journey was marked by his passion for culinary arts, his love for family, and his dedication to serving others.

Jason will be deeply missed by his loving family including his mother, Linda Comfort; sisters, Erika Comfort Coles, Davenia Smith, brother, Matthew Arkel Mack, David Jr., Solomon Mack, Jr.; foster sister, Timika Butler; nieces and nephews, Dante, Destiny, Jah-ri, Matthew, Kai-zere, Zyon, Zaire, Zaira, Brielle, Nathan Cooper and 5 additional nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two nieces, Jaden Coles and Precious Mack.

Jason's unexpected passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him. His legacy of kindness, creativity, and dedication to his craft will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

The family is planning a celebration @ 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the West Chester Community Center, 501 E Miner St, West Chester, PA. Please come as you are.
