Obituary

James L. Smith, 62, of Pomeroy, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at Green Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Malvern, PA.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Harry Lee Smith and Eva I (Butler) Smith.

James was a 1978 graduate of Coatesville Area Senior High School.

He enjoyed sports and listening to music.

James is survived by one sister, Thelma A. Lee of Coatesville; brother, Tyrone Smith (Inana) of Coatesville; uncles, Earl Smith of Reading and James (Bernice) Smith of Parkesburg; best friend Dennis Raison and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lula Mae Thomas, Shelia Peterson and Priscilla Smith.

Services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. Viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Masks are required.
