James W. Roberson, "Robie", 82, of Coatesville, PA, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Paoli Memorial Hospital in Paoli, PA.

James was born in Mounds, Illinois, on September 12, 1939. He was the son of the late John Johnson.

After graduating from high school, James enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, served several years until 1968.

During his working years, James was employed as a car salesman working for Colonial Hyundai and Brian Hoskins Ford in Coatesville, PA. He also worked as a Correctional Officer at a juvenile center in his early years.

James enjoyed watching old movies and basketball. He loved listening to the sounds of his favorite Jazz musician, Kenny G.  His favorite foods were ice cream, and baked turkey wings with rice.

He was preceded in death by his one and only daughter, Emily Denise Jones and his wife, Carol M. Roberson.

James is survived by one granddaughter, Brittany M. Roberson of Wilmington, DE and loved by many.

Interment with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 8, 2021, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA, 18940.
