James Edward Myers, Jr., of Gap, PA, formerly of Coatesville, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Fox Subacute Care in Mechanicsburg, PA. He was 65 years old.
James, lovingly called "Jr.", was the fifth of six children born to the late James Edward Myers, Sr., and Ernestine (Parker) Mazzi.
James graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School in 1977, studying Diversified Occupations.
James was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. At the time of his death, he was a manager at Clean Right Maintenance Services in Thorndale, PA. "Jr." loved cars, working on them, driving them and putting together models. He kept his vehicles white-glove clean. He enjoyed listening to music, especially the oldies and later Christian songs on the radio. James was always a quiet, soft-spoken man; known for his gorgeous dimples.
He married Jeanine Brown on June 13, 2021, and they resided in Gap, PA.
James was preceded in death by his parents, and his younger brother Thomas Myers.
He leaves cherished memories to his wife Jeanine Brown Myers, siblings: Janet Myers London, Carol Myers Kyle, June Myers Alston, Priscilla Myers, and LaMonte Wilson; children: Darlene "Dee Dee" Myers Scott (James) of Coatesville, PA, James E. Myers, III, of Lancaster, PA, Jade Myers of Coatesville, PA; Sheena Shockley (Marlo), Sierra Rivera, and Seleste Rivera, all of Coatesville, PA; Jonathan Brown of Lancaster, Timothy Brown of Gap and Erica Castillo of Lansing, Michigan; 17 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, November 2, at Bell Chapel Holiness Church, 132 Modena Road, Coatesville, PA. Family visitation 10 to 11 am, Memorial Service 11 am to 12 Noon.
