James D. Morton-Bookman of Coatesville, passed away tragically on Friday, April 15, 2011.

Born in Coatesville he was the son of Traci Morton and James P. Bookman.

James attended the Coatesville 9/10 center and had just received his GED in 2011.

As a child, he had been a part of the Coatesville Midget League Football team where he received many trophies and awards.

He enjoyed drawing and carpentry work. He also enjoyed listening to music, as well as playing football and basketball.

He is survived by one daughter, Jazelle Bookman; his father James Bookman, his mother Traci Morton; sisters Jaquis Joint, Jada Morton, Zada Bookman; brother, Ernest Joint, III; maternal grandparents George and Sharon DeShields; maternal great grandparents  Albert and Jenny Morton; paternal grandparents Darlene Thompson, Paul Lavender, paternal great grandmothers, Victoria Bookman and Tillie Agnes Lavender and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
