Jameelah S. Anderson, 46, affectionately known as "Poah" was peacefully called home unexpectedly to her loved ones on February 1, 2025, at her residence in Thorndale, PA.

Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hilton Matthews and the late Cynthia D. Anderson both of Coatesville, PA.

She graduated from Coatesville Senior High School, Class of 1996, and attended Immaculata University. While working in healthcare, she found her niche working in the banking industry for several years. She was a personal banker at S&T Bank. She is a faithful member of Forward Impact Life Ministries Morning Worship in Coatesville, PA.

Poah loved music and dancing. She was a very social, bright, and beautiful soul. Once that beat dropped, she hit the floor and danced hard. But above all, she truly loved her daughter, Jasmine. When Jasmine entered this world, Poah experienced a love like no other. And they created a beautiful and great bond. Poah was a joy to be around with an amazing sense of humor. Her presence was known when she entered, trust me, you heard her. She mastered the art of friendship. A true and genuine friend indeed, with the mind of an elephant, tell her once and she'll remember even when you forgot. Everyone called to talk to her, not that she was nosey, she was, but she was so easy to talk to, nonjudgemental and her advice was genuine. To know Poah was to love her.

She leaves to cherish her many memories; daughter, Jasmine A. Bowman of Thorndale; siblings, Nathaniel (Yolanda) Anderson of Coatesville; Danielle (Jamall) Jones of Wilmington, DE; Ivy S. Shelton of Coatesville; Hilton Matthews Jr. of Coatesville; aunts, Anna (William) Woodward of Coatesville, Joyce (James) Allen of Coatesville; Rosalyn Shelton of Coatesville, uncles, Ernest (Leola) Anderson of New Castle, DE, Coleman Matthews of Coatesville; Raphael Linton "Pop-pop" of Coatesville; god-sister, Anita Robertson; godson, Darrell Woodward of Coatesville; best friend, Jetquatta (Jamarr) Dennis of Coatesville; her crew, Miesha Gilstrap, AnNisa James, Tyshena Anderson, Akesha Parker, Ikeysha Ferguson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Forward Impact Life Ministries (FILM), 545 E Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320. A viewing will be held beginning at 9:00 AM.
