Jahmir Sadiq Thomas, 21, of West Chester, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

He was the son of Astashia J. Washington Foster and Timaro J. Thomas. He was affectionately known as "JahJah".

Jahmir was a 2022 graduate of West Chester East High School. He furthered his education at Brandywine Tech School. He was a talented artist, finding joy in drawing, graphic design, and creating comics, particularly enamored with anime cartoons. His love for art was matched only by his enthusiasm for playing games on his PlayStation and savoring his favorite treat, Jolly Rancher gummies.

He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed spending time at the movies and dancing. Most of all, he had a love for animals. He enjoyed watching Animal Planet, and his heartwarming presence was felt by many. Athletics played a significant role in Jahmir's life as well. Over the years, he played football for LAFA, Fugett Middle School, and East High School, showcasing not only his physical prowess but also his dedication and team spirit.

Jahmir was a hard worker. Over the years, he was employed at various places, including McDonald's, Wellington Nursing Home, and FedEx, each of which he left a lasting impression on with his dedicated work ethic. He was a member of St. Paul's Baptist Church, where he sang in the youth choir.

Jahmir leaves behind his mother, Astashia J. Foster (Monroe); father, Timaro J. Thomas; siblings, Nasiir A. Nixon, Jhaiden J. Washington, Jahsirra E. Thomas; grandparents, Cynthia "Cindy" Washington, John H.Thomas (Donna), Evie Johnson (Kevin), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jahmir was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Corporal, Sr.

He will be deeply missed. Though he is gone, he will not be forgotten. His memory will remain in our hearts.

Services will be held at 12 Noon, on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Saint Paul's Baptist Church, 1 Hagerty Blvd, West Chester, PA. Please note: there will not be a viewing. There is a 1 hour visitation begining at 11 AM.
