Hollis E. Caleb, Sr., 69, of Coatesville, passed away October 8, 2014 at the Brandywine Hospital in Caln.  Born in Dorchester, S.C., he was the son of the late Charles and Mattie Washington Caleb.

He was a 1964 graduate of S. Horace Scott High School and a US Navy Veteran who served until he was honorably discharged in 1969. He had been employed 38 years at Lukens Steel Company until he retired in 2002.

Hollis was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed reading and loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by son, Hollis Caleb, Jr.; daughter, Debbie Caleb Burton  both of Coatesville; loving companion Melodie  Stewart of Coatesville; brothers, Paul (Toni) Caleb of Madison, Wisconson, J. Rufus (Carol) Caleb of Philadelphia, Benjamin (Randi) Caleb of Newtown, Mass., Nathaniel (Kim) Caleb of Coatesville; sisters, Luvenia (Peter) Bush of Bear, Delaware, Camille D. Caleb of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson, nieces, nephews,  cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Patricia and Evelyn.  Hollis will be deeply missed however his memories will linger in our hearts.
