Herman S. Worthington, 73, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at his residence. Born in West Chester, PA, he was the oldest son of Lydia Worthington and the late Herman Worthington. He was educated in the West Chester Area Schools. Herman was a 1963 graduate of Henderson High School. He enjoyed all kinds of sports, football, basketball and golf. He enjoyed listening to the oldies and loved to do the two-step. Herman is survived by two daughters, Tracy Glasco of Ercildoun, PA,  Nicole "Nicky" Worthington of Coatesville, PA;  two sons, Herman "Buddy" (Iris) Worthington, Levi (Leasha) Worthington; his mother, Lydia M. Worthington of West Chester; sister, Bertha (Charles) Coleman of Downingtown, PA; five brothers, Lemeul "Dink" Worthington of Phoenixville, PA, William "Bill" Worthington of Philadelphia, PA, Stephen Worthington of West Chester, PA, Lee (Cynthia) Worthington of Downingtown, PA, Dandridge "Danny" (Julie) Worthington of Clearwater FL; one sister, Hazel (David Todd) Thornton of Downingtown, PA; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. In addition to his father, Herman was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Hales. Services will be held 11 AM on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. The viewing will begin at 10 AM. Interment will be held privately.
