Gordon Harold Brown, 45, of Wichita, Kansas departed this life on Saturday, September 7, 2002.  Born in  West Chester, PA. He was the second of six children born to Harold K. Brown and Frances S. Minor Brown. He was affectionately known as "Gordy" by his family and friends.

Gordy attended Upland Country Day School and was a 1975 graduate of Avon Grove High School.  He built a home in Avondale, PA, and was employed as an assembly worker at Chrysler Corporation in Wilmington, Delaware.

Gordy lived in Wichita, Kansas for the past 13 years.  He was a quiet, talented and very bright person. He had a love for all kinds of animals and was exceptionally particular about keeping things organized.

Gordy leaves two sons, Johnathan Tate and Mathew Tate of Kennett Square, PA; three sisters, Wanda Rochester, Celeste Collazo, and Gwendolyn Brown all of Avondale, PA; two brothers, Kenneth Brown of Coatesville, PA, Aaron Brown of Newark, DE; nine maternal aunts and uncles, Lydia Johnson, Theresa Jones, Ernest and Lois Miner all of Avondale, PA, Betty Christie, Earl and June Minor of New Castle DE, Corrine Walton of Whitehall, MD, Iris Brown of Newark, DE, Phillip and Marion Minor of Brightsville, PA, Ronald and Delores Minor of Hampton , VA; five paternal aunts and uncles, Jean Boddy, Edward Jr. and Catherine Brown all of Avondale, PA, Joanne and Charles Cooper of Parkesburg, Yvonne and Leon Goodwin of West Grove and Richard Brown of West Chester, PA; seven nephews, two nieces and a host of cousins, associates and friends.

All who know him loved him. We will treasure the memories of his life.
