Gloria J. Oliphant, 74, of Coatesville, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA.

Born in Martinsville, Virginia, she was one of 10 children born to the late John and Nora Peay Malloy.

Gloria was a dedicated worker who spent many years in a sewing factory, showcasing her skills and commitment to her craft. Her passion for cleanliness was evident to all who knew her, as she had her unique and meticulous ways of ensuring everything was in its place.

Gloria found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending her days immersed in the captivating stories on the Lifetime Channel (LMN). Her love for cooking brought warmth and comfort to those around her, while the uplifting melodies of gospel music resonated deeply within her soul.

As a cherished member of the United House of Prayer for All People Church, her faith was unwavering, and her love for the Lord shone brightly through her kind and compassionate spirit.

She is survived by one daughter, Hattie D. Malloy of Downingtown; three sisters, Hattie M. Edwards, Debra L. Malloy both of Coatesville, Cardinia Robert (James) of Salsbury, MD; nephew, Richard B. Malloy of Coatesville and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Wilbert Malloy, Eugene Malloy, Joe Malloy, John Malloy, Jr., Charlie Malloy, and Willie Malloy.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her smile, her gentle nature and unwavering devotion.

Services will be held privately.
