Gladys Elizabeth Pope, 88, of Coatesville, passed away, Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the Pocopson Home in West Chester.

A lifelong resident of Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Howard Taltoan and Irene Boyer Taltoan.  She was the wife of the late Chester Pope.

Gladys was employed as an LPN at the Coatesville VA Hospital for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Johnson-Dickinson and her husband Charles of Coatesville; son Samuel Butler and his wife Denice of Maitland, Florida; sister, Mary B. Grove and her husband Rev. James Grove of Coatesville.

Gladys is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 26 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Wright Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. There will not be a public viewing, however friends may greet the family beginning at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be held privately.
