On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Gladys J. Bryant, of Oxford, PA, formerly of Coatesville, PA, passed away quietly at the Ware Nursing Home in Oxford, PA. She was 86 years old.

Raised in Parkesburg, PA, she was the daughter of the Larai Anna Lavendar-Woodburn, and the step-daughter of the late Horton Lavendar.

She was the sister of the late Virginia Lavendar, Emma Lavendar-Wilkerson, Johnny Lavendar, Charles Lavendar, and Carl Woodburn.

She was married to late Ralph Boyd Sr., and out of that union had two children; the late Ralph Boyd Jr, whom was married to the late Yvonne Boyd, who had two children, Simone Boyd and Ralph Boyd III. She also had a son, the late Nathaniel Boyd. Later on in life she married the late Charles Boyd.

Gladys worked at Pepperidge Farms as a supervisor for several years.

She was a very devoted wife and mother to her family. She was very talented, and enjoyed art and sewing, and was an avid reader. She was a crossword puzzle and word search genius, and enjoyed traveling whenever possible.
