Germaine Coleman, "Rena", 68, of West Chester, PA, passed away July 17, 2018, at the Brandywine Hospital in Caln.

Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the oldest of six children born to the late Clover and Luvinia Gillie Summers.

Germaine graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School (CASH) in 1969. She was a candy striper at the Coatesville Hospital. She took piano lessons since the age of 11 and was able to read and play music.

In her youth, she was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Coatesville where she was baptized.  During this time the church was pastored by Rev. Elam and later Rev. Eli Hamilton. She knew the Lord and attended various churches. Her favorite saying was: "Jesus is on the Mainline".

She loved knitting sweaters, scarves and hats. She also enjoyed walking and sightseeing.  She loved doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

Germaine is survived by her daughter, Hamon Summers of Florida; sons, Darrick Coleman (Lori), and Charles Coleman, III both of Coatesville, PA; sister, Doris A. Lawrence of Coatesville; brother, Robert A. Summers of Coatesville, PA; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Germaine was preceded in death by brothers, Clover Summers, Jr., John D. Summers, and Theodore V. Summers.

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Wright Funeral Home, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA.  A viewing will be held from 10 AM – 11 AM.

Interment will be private.
