Geraldine M. Taylor Scott, 76, of Coatesville, PA, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jonathan Taylor and Marie J. High Taylor. She was the beloved wife of John C. Scott, with whom she shared 8 years of marriage.

Geraldine received her early education from the Coatesville Area School District. She graduated from Scott Senior High School in 1967 and went on to obtain her nursing certification.

She was employed as an LPN for many years and worked at various places, including the Coatesville VA Hospital, West Chester Arms, and Gilpin Hall in Wilmington, Delaware.

Geraldine loved all kinds of sports. One of her favorite teams was the Las Vegas Raiders.  Geraldine loved to dress up in fine clothes, and she always had her nails painted in her favorite bright colors. She enjoyed listening to music, Jay-Z was one of her favorite artists.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles "Butch" Taylor, Elnora Taylor, Rose Taylor London, Jonathan Taylor, and a great-nephew, Jonathan Taylor III.

She leaves cherished memories to her husband, John C. Scott; son, Arthur "Joey" Jonathan Taylor (Thelma) of Coatesville, PA; siblings, Ramona Taylor, and Beverly High Cullen both of Coatesville; granddaughter, Tajah Melvin; great grandchildren, Zakai Prince Brown and Zalyn Elise Brown; special niece, Naimah Marie Taylor; nieces and nephews, Herbert "Chucky" High, Renita Johnson, Chamise S. Taylor, Howard Brock, and Amari Taylor. She was also loved by other relatives and friends.

Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. We will cherish her memory in our hearts.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Wright Funeral & Cremation Services, 725 Merchant Street, Coatesville, PA. A viewing will be held from 9 AM until 10:45 AM.
