Frances Rebecca Runner, 95, went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2016.  She was the daughter of the late John E. Griffy and Emma Thompson Griffy Cephas. She was the wife of Joseph William Runner with whom she shared 33 years until his death in 1971.  Frances worked at Laskos in West Chester. She found joy in being a Homemaker and enjoyed caring for flowers and house plants. Frances was a member of New Life in Christ Fellowship in Coatesville.
She leaves behind three daughters, Barbara A. Jacks, Coatesville, Pa; Gwendolyn Trowery (Joseph) of Pittsburgh; Doris M. Alston (Cleo) of Downingtown; one sister, Juanita Lewis, (Lester) of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, and over 50 great-grands and great-great grandchildren. a special cousin Sarah Jones,  as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Arnold Runner. Sr.; three grandchildren, Mia C. Jacks, Erica D. Alston, Lamont Q. Jacks, Jr.; two siblings, Clara V. Harris and Elmer Griffy.
Services will be held at 11 am, Sat. March 26, 2016 at New Life in Christ Fellowship, One South Fifth Avenue, Coatesville. Friends are invited to a viewing beginning at 9 am.
Interment will be in Zion Hill Cemetery, Atglen, Pa.
